When was the last time you saw more than 1,000 ladies talking about menstrual health and hygiene habits in an open forum, outside of an academic or professional setting? At this year’s Ms. Understood Festival, this rarity became a reality, and we were honored to be a part of it as we formally introduced Pamp’her to this vibrant community of women.
Mosaic had the opportunity to celebrate the launch of Pamp’her at Ms. Understood, where we hosted a booth in their Village, and our own Esther Ijai got to facilitate a special “self-check-in session” on stage. Equipped with a wheel that prompted women to reflect on their personal preferences and tendencies during their time of the month, Dr. Ijai opened the door to an inspiring conversation that rarely makes it out of a bathroom or bedroom, let alone on stage. Ladies shared their common cravings, go-to self-care routines, and even the bodily changes they experience during their period – a refreshing change of pace for topics that women are used to keeping to themselves. We hope that this can be the first of many dialogues about this important and universal issue!
After this rejuvenating exercise, the Ms. Understood team surprised us with cake and confetti, and a festival-wide celebration, and we introduced the Pamp’her period packs to hundreds of interested women and girls. It was a special moment for our whole team, and we were excited to share it with so many new friends and partners. Check out some photos and videos below (or on our social channels) and stay tuned for more updates as Pamp’her is now LIVE!
